I am a specialist in teaching people with SEN how to drive (Special Educational Needs).
Firstly, and most importantly, do not be embarrassed. I accept you as you are and I can help you much more efficiently if I understand how your specific condition affects you. I can help you most by listening. You will learn to drive in an automatic car.
An estimated 10% of young people have some kind of special educational need which can affect them in one way or another but having a learning difficulty should not stop you from learning to drive.

Professional Experience Teaching Students!
To master the level of co-ordination, skill & confidence necessary for driving may be difficult for any aspiring young motorist and it can be even more so for young people with special educational needs (SEN). I however, take a different approach because I personally care and have professional experience teaching students with SEN to drive and pass their test.
I ensure that the learning process is enjoyable, rewarding and most importantly, successful!
Without the right help, understanding or specific adjustments made to your driving lessons that you may require, learning to drive can become more difficult, take longer and ultimately cost more in the long run whilst leaving you less confident in times of need.

The considered traditional learning methods and patterns are not always the best way forward when teaching pupils with SEN. I am a specialist SEN driving instructor who has an expert understanding of special educational needs and can tailor my driving lessons to each pupil on an individual basis.
I use different teaching techniques to achieve your aim of passing your driving test and being able to drive on your own safely giving you more independence.

Dual Control Car
I will encourage confidence within yourself to be able to handle various situations comfortably and attain lifelong skills which can even be applied to other areas of your life. I start off by teaching the basics and instilling confidence away from the main roads with a dual control car so you will always be safe.
I help you to avoid anxiety and get to grips with driving at your own pace until enough confidence is gained to move forward onto public roads.
